Mindfulness Skills for Everyday Living — a 5-day course in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction

The registration process is as follows:

  1. Complete the Online Registration form (below).
This reserves a place for you in the Mindfulness Skills course and in one of our free and required Orientation sessions.
  2. Attend the Orientation session.
  3. At the conclusion of the Orientation session, make a final decision if you will or will not participate in the Mindfulness Skills course.
    • A decision to participate requires making a payment in order to finalize your enrollment.

What are the Orientation sessions and why are they required?

We ask everyone who is interested in the 5-day Mindfulness Skills course to attend one pre-course Orientation session.

We have several Orientation sessions available, in mornings, afternoons, evenings and even online. Hopefully, one of these sessions will be convenient for you.

The Orientation is not a sales pitch for the 5-day course. In many ways, it serves as the first session in the course.

The Orientation session is offered free of charge.

Benefiting from the Mindfulness Skills course requires an investment of time and energy — attending daily class sessions and practicing at home — in addition to the fee for the course. The decision to enroll is best made with full information and the first-hand understanding that comes from attending an Orientation session.

When you enroll in one of the orientation sessions, a place is reserved for you in the Mindfulness Skills course. You must attend that Orientation session in order to finalize your course registration.

During an Orientation session, you will:

  • Learn about the Mindfulness Skills course and have an opportunity to ask questions
  • Have a first-hand experience of the approaches utilized in the course
  • Meet one or more of the Valley Mindfulness teachers
  • Have a brief private meeting with one of the teachers

At the end of the Orientation session, you may:

  • Finalize your enrollment in the Mindfulness Skills course. This involves paying the full course fee or a $200 deposit.
  • Decide to enroll at a later time.
  • Decide that the Mindfulness Skills course is not for you.

We recommend that you attend the soonest possible Orientation session so that you can reserve a place in the course before it fills up.

If you cannot attend any of our scheduled Orientation sessions:

Please contact us if you are strongly interested in the Mindfulness Skills program but find that attending an Orientation session is not possible for you. In some cases, we might be able to work out alternative arrangements, especially for those who live at a distance from Northampton.
