"Wherever you go, there you are. Whatever you wind up doing, that's what you've wound up doing. Whatever you are thinking right now, that's what's on your mind. Whatever has happened to you, it has already happened. The important question is, 'how are you going to handle it?'... Like it or not, this moment is all we really have to work with." -- Jon Kabat-Zinn

My response to Jon's question "how are you going to handle it?", is to suggest that we set an intention to cultivate and strengthen (over time, with patience, persistence, and kindness) our innate human capacity to meet whatever arises with awareness and compassion, in other words, with mindfulness.

You are invited to join graduates of our MBSR and MSC courses in a 5-session program designed to explore and embrace the challenges we all face in developing and sustaining a practice of meditation.

In every one of our MBSR and MSC courses, participants struggle with developing a home practice that is workable for them. We all face many challenges with our practices including time, family situations, health conditions, a myriad of pressures from daily life, anxiety, restlessness and boredom, and more.

As we struggle, we may judge ourselves harshly, thinking that we "should" be able to do this, and we may also judge the quality of our meditation experiences (how well they seem to be working, how effective they seem to be).

In this program, we will work together to discover how we can build a practice that really works for us. We will explore the possibilities and benefits of creating an imperfect practice that may be perfectly suitable to the lives we are living.
